Detailed below are our terms and conditions for Logistics, Quotations and all other relevant items. Please read these carefully as they include important information regarding the processes which make up our service.
1. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
2. We accept payment by debit card or credit card.
3. Payment by cheque is acceptable, but will incur delays to schedules.
4. For quotations up to £500.00 in total, we request full payment after we agree the work scheduling with you, but prior to collection. We will request any amount exceeding £500.00 prior to arranging redelivery of your furniture.
Guarantees
5. We achiveve a high quality, as new, professional finish. Your furniture will go through preparation prior to painting to rectify any obvious faults, such as knocks, scratches and small cracks, but it must be appreciated that absolute perfection may not be possible. In rare cases, large resinous knots is pine furniture can, after time in strong sunlight, slightly discolour the paintwork. This is a feature that also happens with brand new furniture and will not be accepted as a reason for compensation, but we assure you that we always endeavour to exceed your expectations.
6. If your furniture is not being returned to the same location in the room, then, as with all new furniture, you are advised to avoid locating it very close to hot radiators, in damp conditions, or in prolonged sunshine through glass, as these conditions can cause discolouration and airline cracks. However, fresh air circulation is beneficial to wood-based furniture.
7. Guarantee applicable to local services only (within a 30-mile radius):
In the unlikely event that you have reason to be dissatisfied, we will, within a three month period, re-work the offending pieces free of any costs, including transport.
Completion Slots
8. Completion slots are dependent on our workload, but normally available within three weeks of you accepting our quotation. In all cases, we endeavour to accommodate your preferences, often trying to complete during holiday periods, but failure to strictly adhere to quoted dates will not be a reason for compensation or cancellations.
Transit Damage (National Service IFS, furniture returned to you)
9. All finished furniture returned to you must be inspected and any damaged items returned on the same vehicle. We, the customer, will claim against IFS. We will rework the offending items to your satisfaction, but we will not accept any claims for transit damage at any later date.

10. Any minor knocks or scrapes will be rectified by us prior to painting, but in the highly unlikely event of serious damage or missing items, we would attempt to resolve the problem using the photographs received from you. If that failed, then you, the customer, would need to claim against IFS.
Transit Damage (Local service, 30-mile radius)
11. We will take full responsibility for any transit damage and resolve any problems without delay.
Our delivery services are available in four different types.
1. Local Full Service - Seven Day Completion - (Restricted to 30 mile radius)
- We will collect your furniture from the room where it is in use
- We will dismantle wardrobes and beds as necessary and return your furniture to the same room collected.
2. Local Collect & Return - Seven Day Completion - Restricted to 30 mile radius
- We will collect furniture from any ground floor room.
- It must already be dismantled if necessary to allow exit (eg. beds, large wardrobes, etc.)
- We will return to the same location as collected.
- No pre-packaging will be necessary
3. National Collect & Return - Three to Five Week Completion - (See area exceptions)
- Collection and redelivery by a two man uniformed crew.
- We will collect furniture from any ground floor room.
- It must already be dismantled if necessary to allow exit (eg. beds, large wardrobes, etc.).
- It must be packed; eg. corrugated cardborad, bubble wrap, or similar.
- Furniture will be redelivered to the same location as collected.
4. Customer’s Own Transport Five Day Completion
- We accept furniture assembled (except beds, dismantled)
- We will accept unpackaged furniture, but after collection you will be responsible for securing the goods in transit, and we will not accept any claims for transit damage after collection.
Local Full Service and Local Collect & Return is operated by our own company transport and staff.
National Collect & Return is operated by a specialist national furniture transport company IFS, with two-man uniformed crews. We will notify them of required collections and deliveries; the transport company will then arrange directly with the customer on suitable dates and times. Prior to collection, we require photographs from four views of each item of furniture; front, top and both ends / sides.
1. Our painting service is most suitable for bedroom suites, in which we specialise, but we will be pleased to advise on other requirements you may have. We have a minimum charge out of £100.00 excluding transport.
2. Our quotation will be made on the assumption that your furniture is in a condition representing normal everyday domestic use. Please advise on any structural or stability problems as we may be able to rectify these; however, there are no solutions to warped doors or other components.
3. Unless otherwise requested, our quotation will be for external painting only. We can quote for internal painting or part painting, eg. wardrobe doors only.
4. We can remove and replace your old knobs or handles, but we can give no assurances of a successful outcome. Customers may prefer to do this themselves.
5. If your furniture is antique or period with ornate carvings or mouldings, or factory finished to look purposely distressed (old and worn), then it may be unsuitable for painting. If you think this could apply to your furniture, then we suggest that you initially send us photographs for our opinion, prior to completing the full enquiry.
6. Home visits can be arranged within a 30-mile radius, when we will bring samples of colours & fittings and prepare a fixed quotation for your consideration. We guarantee to respect your privacy and at no time put any sales pressure on you. We would only telephone you with your permission or at your request. There is a charge of £18.00 to £38.00 (cost based) for home visits, depending on distance.
